Nature photography is at the center of Iron Buffalo Co.
This is the work I keep coming back to — forests, rivers, mountains, open land, changing light, weather, plants, wildlife, and the quiet details that most people walk past without noticing.
Some scenes are dramatic.
Some are almost nothing.
A shaft of light through trees. Water moving over stone. Frost on grass. A trail disappearing into fog. A bird sitting still long enough for one frame.
That is the work.
Landscapes
Mountains, forests, rivers, lakes, fields, valleys, back roads, and the wider scenes that define a place.
Forests & Wild Places
Trees, undergrowth, trails, moss, old growth, changing seasons, and the texture and structure of natural spaces.
Water
Rivers, streams, rain, reflections, lakes, waterfalls, shoreline, and the movement that gives a landscape life.
Plants & Natural Detail
Wildflowers, leaves, seed heads, bark, fungi, grasses, garden detail, and the smaller parts of nature that deserve just as much attention as the big views.
Light & Atmosphere
Fog, shadow, golden light, overcast skies, reflections, haze, and the way changing light can completely alter a familiar place.
Seasonal Change
Spring growth, summer heat, fall color, frost, snow, rain, and the constant shift of the natural world throughout the year.
Nature is not clean.
It is muddy, windblown, overgrown, broken, wet, burned, frozen, growing, dying, and starting over.
That is part of what makes it worth photographing.
I am not interested in turning every scene into something polished and artificial.
I want the photograph to still feel like the place.
Not every image needs a mountain, a storm, or a huge animal in the frame.
Sometimes it is a single leaf.
A patch of moss.
Tracks in wet ground.
A branch catching the last bit of light.
Those small details are part of the same story.
They are easy to miss if you are always looking for something bigger.
Nature does not care about schedules.
The light may be wrong.
The animal may never show.
The clouds may roll in.
The wind may ruin the reflection.
Sometimes you walk away with nothing.
And sometimes, for a few seconds, everything lines up.
That is why I keep going back.

The goal is not just to make photographs.
It is to create work that makes someone stop, look twice, and remember what it feels like to be outside.
Pay attention. Respect the place. Let nature do the heavy lifting.
